This document functions as an electronic concordance to the 81 Chapters of the Dao De Jing by Laozi.

Use the Ctrl + F keystroke combination to open the search box function in any web browser.

Then, you can search this webpage document by terms (i.e., keywords, themes, subjects, topics, nouns, verbs, adverbs, or adjectives, etc.).

At present, you can search all 81 Chapters of the Tao Te Ching indexed in this document
by using words in the English language, the Spanish language, and the Wade-Giles Romanization
of the Mandarin Chinese language.

For example, a search on the English word "hate" takes us to 'Detest or Loathe or Hate (wu )' in Chapters 8, 31, 42, and 73.
A search on the Spanish words "Escucha" and "Oir" refer us to Chapters 14, 41, 50, and 52.
Searching on the Spanish words "arbol" and "madera" gets us to Chapters 15, 28, 37, 64, 74, and 76.

This standard webpage document search tool (Ctrl+F) enables you to use this Chapter Index as a
Concordance to the Daodejing.

Pressing the Ctrl key and the F key at the same time (Ctrl+F) in the Microsoft Edge browser opens the search box in the top left corner of the webpage window; in the Google Chrome browser Ctrl+F opens the webpage search box in the upper right corner of the webpage window; in the Firefox browser Ctrl+F opens the search box in the bottom left corner of the webpage window; and, in the Internet Explorer browser Ctrl+F it opens the search box in the top left corner of the webpage window of the browser.  Subsequent pressing of the Enter key will show you all the Chapters were the chosen search term appears.

The 81 Chapters of the Tao Te Ching, Classic of the Way and Virtue (Power), attributed to Lao Tzu, were ordered and cited in Wang Bi's "Daodejing Commentary" of 246 CE.  This is the same standardized content and order since 246 CE, that we have been using in English translations since 1840 CE.

I intend to update one Chapter webpage per day from February until June of 2021.  Sometimes, I update two Chapters at the Daodejing 81 Web in one day.  I edit the webpage on a Chapter of the Tao Te Ching for formatting, content, indexing, additions, style, correct links, documentation, etc.. I started on 2/12/2021 with Chapter 30.  I also post one Chapter to my Cloud Hands Blog every Friday.  This document (ttclzindex31.htm) is the standard, the current Daodejing 81 Web Concordance, the most up-to-date, and most thorough.  This Concordance is maintained or updated daily until this project of creating Version 4, February-June, 2021, is completed.  I will then create and share a final 4.1 PDF version of this file as well as the 4.1 .htm version.
