The purpose of this bibliography is to help me keep track of books in my home library, my Internet research, and various notes about the subject.  I first read books about Buddhism in 1960, when I was 14 years old.  Back in 1960, I borrowed the books on Buddhism, Eastern religions, Taoism, Zen, mythology, and philosophy from the City of Commerce Public Library, from the Montebello County Public Library, or the East Los Angeles County Public Library.  Back in those days, 1950-1970, the only way for a person in these kinds of lower income neighborhoods to learn about other ways of thinking and living was through reading books borrowed from a local public library.  In 1971, I became the Library Manager of the new and larger East Los Angeles County Public Library on 1st Street.
