Aleister Crowley and Frieda Harris Tarot Deck
1938-1943
This deck was designed by Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), Master Therion, Ordo Templi Orientis, O.T.O. The cards were painted on canvas, in a projective geometrical style, by Lady Frieda Harris (1877-1962), from 1938-1943, under close supervision by Aleister Crowley. This deck was Crowley's vision based on his knowledge of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, his O.T.O. philosophy, Quabalah, Enochian Magick, Egyptian mysteries, astrology, numerology, etc. The paintings of each card were photographed and first published as a Tarot deck in 1969 by the O.T.O.. The Book of Thoth Tarot was rephotographed and published by U.S. Games Systems with improved printing in 1972 and 1986. This deck now is available in large, medium and miniature sizes. The backgrounds in the Minor Arcana are somewhat more developed in this deck than in other decks produced before 1910. This deck comes in large, medium and miniature sizes.
This is the deck I use to practice Tarot magic as per Donald Tyson's Portable Magic and John Michael Greer's Learning Ritual Magic. This is the deck I use most often for Tarot readings for myself. This is the deck that will be discussed in detail in this Eight of Wands Tarot Website.

and the use of Aleister Crowley's
Thoth Tarot, a deck of
Tarot cards
designed by Crowley and co-designed and painted by
Lady Frieda Harris. The Thoth Tarot has become one of the best-selling and
most popular Tarot Decks in the world. The original 200 volume edition was
bound in Morocco leather and printed on pre-wartime paper. Crowley sold ₤1,500
worth of the edition in less than three months."
