Some
Examples of Closing Remarks
for Yoga, Qigong or Taiji Classes
By Michael P. Garofalo
March 17, 2005, St. Patrick's Day:
Holding our hands in
the prayer mudra (atmanjali mudra) we
raise our arms
above our heads up to the sky:
We seek to use all the powers of the World to discover the truth.
Placing our thumbs
on our forehead at our third eye:
We resolve to use all the powers of the Mind to know the truth (Asteya).
Gently placing our
thumbs on our lips:
We promise to compassionately speak the truth.
Drawing our hands to
our heart:
We express our great desire to live the truth.
Opening our hands
into the Giving Lotus Mudra,
We express our wish to share our good intentions with everyone.
Tonight, let us
share an old Irish blessing:
May the road rise up
to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your field
And, until we meet again, may God hold
you in the palm of his hand.
…..
Namaste
